Fifty one weeks ago I was busy…frantically busy…shoving the last bits into boxes, breaking down furniture and trying hard to avoid a freak-out as the moving truck pulled into our driveway early. Nine years in that house, sixteen years total in Orlando were, were coming to a rapid close as we began the move North.
It’s been quite an experience to say the least.
Do I miss Orlando? Sometimes. I miss some of the friends. I miss sunrise at the beach, and burgers at Graffiti Junction. I miss Sunday’s with the best Browns Backers club in the country. I even (shock of shocks) miss Disney World and Universal…a little. That said, Orlando never felt like home. It’s a refrain you’ll hear from lots of people who live there. Great little city, but too transient to have real roots. As much as I enjoyed the time there, I haven’t missed living there at all.
Still, Orlando was good to me. Thank you too all the people who made that so. The list is too long to name, but you guys made it worth being there.

I totally get it. Beautiful shot!
well… we are glad to have you in Canada Tom… There is no Disneyland, no real basketball team to speak of, the closest NFL teams are the Lions and Bills… but we do have Canadian women, great burger joints, stronger beer and some awesome places to photograph.
I can live with that trade….
