Lonely Day in St. Augustine – St. Augustine, FL

I guess I have a thing for oceans, beaches and piers. Not uncommon I guess, that’s a pretty typical type of picture. Common or not there is just something almost mystical about an empty pier stretching out into the vast unknown.

That or I just like an excuse to go see a nice sunrise.

This shot was taken last year as part of Rick Sammon’s Florida Photo Caravan. I’ve mentioned it before but if you get a chance to take a class with Rick, it’s a great opportunity. I don’t get paid for that endorsement (though hey Rick feel free lol).

Florida Sunrise – Cocoa Beach, FL

I woke up to snow drifting down this morning. It’s April! Snow? My colleagues at work laughed and said welcome to Canada. Why did I move again?

So today it’s a little more beach dreaming. Sunrise at Cocoa Beach was my ..ok one of my… favorite ways to start a weekend. There is just something magical about a morning sky and the sound of the ocean. Oh well, that’s what vacations are for.
